According to the recent news, a sad incident happened at the Kroger. While the Metro police are investigating a stabbing incident in the East Nashville Kroger Center Tuesday afternoon. Investigators identified the suspect, Vesnando Santos, 37, and accused him of aggravated assault.
Furthermore, the stabbing took place in Kroger, located at 711 Gallatin Street. Police were called to the store after receiving reports of someone stalking another person inside the store with a knife.
In addition, MNPD says Santos was sweating profusely, screaming, and acting unreasonably. When the police arrived, they found Santos who obeyed the officers’ orders to drop the knife. Santos was injured by a self-inflicted knife wound and accused of stabbing a male customer in the hand.
Santos did not know the victim and neither was seriously injured. Santos withholding in lieu of $ 500,000 in bonds. This wasn’t his first attempt with the law, in 2019, he was convicted of a reckless murder for stabbing a male acquaintance in the Quality Inn car park in Brick Church Pike and sentenced to two years in prison.
