Albertsons Companies has recently introduced ‘’Albertsons Pay’’ a contactless, secure and, quick payment method that has made the checkout process easier for many of its customers.
The feature will also enable customers to earn rewards, use discounts, and, pay for the items they purchase. The feature is available through Albertsons ‘’Just for U’’ app and can be used in all of Albertsons stores including its subsidiaries such as Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Carrs, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Star-Market, Acme and, Tom Thumb,
There are two options to pay through Albertsons Pay:
- Albertsons Direct:
A quick and completely secure pay for costumers to pay through their respective banks.
- Albertsons Cash:
A stored value account that can be pre-loaded and used across all Albertsons stores.
Customers are free to use any of the two options to pay, use discounts, and earn rewards. After the feature has been set up, customers are just required to show the QR code from the Just for U app. Not only this, but the app will also provide Google and Apple Pay links for easy access to contactless debit and credit card transactions. Albertsons has truly enhanced the shopping experience for many through this major move!
Customers can also choose to donate and support local charities through the Albertsons App feature. The Supermarket has been committed to charity work as it recently pledged $3 million and raised a fundraiser to fight hunger during the covid-19 pandemic crisis and also won the ‘’Community Hero Award’’ at Benevity’s 2020 Corporate Goodness Awards.
The new technology has definitely been unveiled at a time when it’s most needed. As with the rising cases of the covid-19 virus in the United States, it has become crucial for the public to maintain social distance and avoid touching contaminated surfaces in public places to reduce the risk of transmissions.
Albertsons operates 2,252 stores with locations in Arizona, Northern California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming. The company is the second-largest supermarket chain in North America.
