Cristiano Ronaldo is now COVID Free

Ronaldo was tested positive for COVID-19 on 13th October, last match was played with Portugal where he went for a diagnostic test and found as COVID positive. After 19 days at last he has recovered now as the COVID-19 Test results were found to be negative.

Ronaldo has now come out of Isolation and warming up for the upcoming matches. The next match is Juventus vs Spezia on Sunday which will be his first match after COVID-19 and will be followed by all new matches lined up.

Serie A Leaders AC Milan has also announced other players who have been tested with negative results. Their Defender “Matteo Gabbia”, Goal Keeper “Gianluigi Donnaruma” and the Striker Jens Peter Hauge are now eligible for the upcoming match and are authorized that they can return for training.  Milan travel to Udinese on Sunday along with Gabbia who was undergoing through medical screening on Saturday.

During Ronaldo COVID-19 Tenure he has missed four matches which also includes Champions League defeat Lionel Messi’s Barcelona and Juventus won at Dynamo Kiev in their Group-G opener. Ballon d’Or (fifth time) winner’s return will be an enhancement for Andrea Pirlo’s vacillating side who are currently fifth in Serie A which is four points behind leaders AC Milan.

Ronaldo scored 3 goals in Juventus’s initial 2 league games, 3-0 win over Sampdoria and both goals in a 2-2 draw at Roma. But the nine-time leading champions were held to 3 consecutive draws which includes Verona which was draw by 1-1, Crotone draw by 1-1 and Roma draw by 2-2. They were awarded 3-0 victory on 4th October after Napoli refused to travel to Turin due to corona virus. Ronaldo tested 18 times before missing out the week’s reunion which was with Messi, it was also reported that Ronaldo became furious after testing positive for the 18th time. They have not faced each other since 2018 when the five-time Ballon d’Or winner left Real Madrid for Juventus.

Ronaldo’s controversy was experienced even before he was tested as Positive while travelling to Portugal whereas Juventus were in isolation after two virus cases. Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora on 14th October had accused the star for violating the measures for Corona virus in Italy. Paulo Dybala and Blaise Matuidi were already tested as COVID-19 positive in the first wave of pandemic. Argentine was the only player who was tested as positive even after 45 days, However, Ronaldo recovered and the remaining cases were announced in the Italian league.

In Bergamo, on Friday before this weekend’s game Atlanta Coach Gian Piero Gasprini’s press conference at crotone was cancelled when they received positive cases among the coaching staff. Mid-fielder Salvatore Molina also has slight symptoms of Conrona Virus, therefore, he was isolated at home.

Parma has revealed that two players have become infected for the second time, while Sassuolo had three new cases who travelled to Napoli. Lazio are waiting for the test results after players missed the champions League draw at Club Brugga, Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto were also included. Coach Simone Inzaghi’s press conference has been cancelled which was against Torino, half squad is reported to be ass self-isolating.

The Rome Club have planned to travel Torino on Sunday. According to UEFA rules the match can only take place if one side have at least 13 healthy players which includes the Goalkeeper as well, Serie A are complying the rules. There can be an exemption if a club has an active outbreak of COVID-19 with more than 10 positive cases in a week, in that cases the club can request to postpone. This exemption is only valid for the season for Genoa’s game against Torino in this month earlier. Match has been rescheduled to the next Wednesday.
