As we said above that Amazon said on Tuesday that they are hiring 100,000 seasonal employees to help boost demand during the holiday season. The staff will assist with selecting, packaging, and shipping customer orders across the network of Amazon warehouses in the US and Canada. Amazon will hire most workers in California, Texas, Maryland, Georgia, and New Jersey.

Previous, when things were normal and festive season used to celebrated without social distancing. Amazon hired 200,000 temporary workers during the holiday season last year, double what it did in 2018. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon has already enormously over-supplied its warehouse. They have also mentioned that through a hiring procedure in March and April they had faced a flurry of online applications due to unemployment.

While, in May, Amazon whispered it would provide enduring roles for 70% of the 175,000 workforces it employed at the height of the pandemic. Even after it carried in 125,000 warehouse employees, the remaining 50,000 workers would remain on seasonal agreements that are expected to last up to 11 months.

Furthermore, Amazon employed 876,800 people as of June 30, exclusive of contractors and temporary workers. The coronavirus epidemic has redesigned the holiday spending season this year in several ways. It suspended Amazon Prime Day to October from mid-July, setting the holiday rush earlier than ever for many vendors. As Coronavirus cases rise in some parts of the country, analysts are expecting holiday shopping to take place virtually.
