While the relocates in Florida are already familiar with the famous “Let’s Go to Kroger” song ad. If you’re hearing about Kroger by now, the chain has arrived in Tampa Bay with an automated customer fulfilment centre for order deliveries. In a press statement, the grocery retailer stated that the company uses more than 1,000 robots to initiate and complete a customer order.
However how the delivery and orders will work? Well, once the order comes then it is prepared, when customers’ order approaches their delivery times, robots retrieve products from the cell. Which are presented at stations for items to be sorted for delivery, a process governed by algorithms that ensure items are intelligently sorted. This is fully robotic technology, also, they stated and share how the fragile items will works? Well, the fragile items are placed on top, bags are weighted evenly, and each order is optimized to fit the fewest number of bags, reducing the use of plastic.
