According to the news, the Kroger Corporation today announced the retirement of Mike Donnelly, Executive Vice President and Director of Operations, after more than 42 years of distinguished service, which went into effect. Later this spring. The succession plan will be announced at a later time.

While, Donnelly began his career as an employee at Fry’s Food Stores in California in 1978, where he advanced to several leadership positions including district administration. In 1995, he was appointed Vice President of Commerce at Fry’s. He was promoted to Fry Division Chief in 2000. He then held the position of Senior Vice President of Kroger Pharmaceuticals / GM before returning to lead the Fry Division as President in 2003. Donnelly was appointed head of Ralphs in 2007, and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing for Kroger Inc.
Donnelly was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2015, and to his current position as Chief Operating Officer in 2017. As Director of Operations, he is responsible for Operations, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Kroger Health.
