Kroger to hire 2,500 in the Washington QFC and Fred Meyer stores

Just in: According to the giant grocery store Kroger has announced that they will be hiring more than 2,500 new employees in its QFC and Fred Meyer stores across Puget Sound. In a statement this Thursday, Kroger said they will “bring new partners on board to meet staffing needs throughout Western Washington.”

While Kroger will be hiring part-time and full-time employees for a variety of positions, including cashiers, online order fulfillment workers, pharmacy technicians, and drivers.

Here’s what the head of Human Resources at the QFC Eric Hovey said in a statement regarding the job opening. “We have an ongoing goal of providing clients with the highest level of service possible and we want to hire individuals who share our passion for people and fresh food.

While, Kroger plans to fill positions in stores, pharmacies, and distribution centers over the next several months.The company is also offering a one-time payment of $100 to fully vaccinated workers, including newly hired colleagues.
