Kroger’s Vaccination Giveaway Winner

Cincinnati – The day is here which you all have been waiting for! Yup as Kroger’s promise of five-million-dollar prizes and the Ohio Vax-a-Million lottery has given a group of buzzes. And since the launch of both stimulus programs. The number of COVID-19 cases has fallen in southwest Ohio.

While the health commissioner said that we are pleased “We’re absolutely seeing cases and hospitalizations declining here in Hamilton County.  The day before Governor Mike DeWine announced Ohio’s $1 million vaccine lottery. There were about 64 COVID-19 cases for every 100,000 people in 8 counties that make up the southwestern part of the state. Two days ago, the seven-day moving average number of cases had dropped to 21. “As an area, I’d say we’re generally doing a good job,” said Dr Andrew Beck.

Beck said the release of vaccine gifts has coincided with greater access to the vaccine and a lowering of the minimum age required to receive an injection. Beck said understanding the effect of incentives on the vaccination rate is very important. Something that will be studied closely for some time. He said it was an “imperative” for the medical community and others to figure out what works and what doesn’t when it comes to vaccinating people.  So that everyone can better prepare in the event of another pandemic.

More About Kroger

Whatever the incentives for the impact, Kroger’s Erin Rolfes said the Cincinnati-based grocery chain is happy to be part of the push to get back to normal. “Just trying to get people to understand the vaccine is safe,” Rolfes said. “It’s effective. It’s the best way for us to get back to what we want to consider as the new normal.” “And if we can help make that decision a little easier with the lottery, we’re happy to do so.” Wednesday is the day 11 people will win the first round of awards as part of the Kroger Vaccine Scholarship. Ten people will win groceries for a year, worth $13,000. One person will win a check for $1,000,000. Unlike the Vax-a-Million lottery in Ohio, Kroger will work with the giveaway program winners to determine who wants to be in the public spotlight.
