According to the recent reports and announcements by the largest grocery store chain in America, Kroger. The Kroger health have announced that more health stores will provide the covid-19 vaccine. Most of Kroger stores in Wisconsin will start distributing COVID-19 vaccines after they get their first shipments this week. They will officially announce and will open the appointments on their website once they get the due shipment of the vaccine.
Furthermore, The federal government awards vaccines to Kroger as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. The chain will receive 2,340 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer over the next week. The state will give Kroger 1,552 additional vaccine doses. The announcement was made in a press release on Wednesday from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. While, the Kroger also owns the Metro Market and Pick-n-Save chains. The advertisement did not specify exactly which stores would receive the photos.
Now, anyone who is currently eligible for the vaccine in Wisconsin can check the Kroger website or call (866) 211-5320 to make an appointment as available.
Here’s the official statement by the spokesperson. “We are excited to continue expanding the vaccine infrastructure in Wisconsin and providing more access to the vaccine by adding another pharmacy partner to this important program,” said Interim Secretary of Homeland Security, Karen Tempe.
