A couple of newlywed is all set to celebrate their big day by having big Macs, they have planned to have their reception at McDonald’s in Motherwell.
Melissa Russel and Shannon Mckenna have been forced to make other plans for their marriage twice in the span of 12 weeks sue to the Corona Virus.
But due to the falling health of Melissa’s father, they are desperately racing against time and have decided not too late their marriage ceremony.
At the Chatelherault Country Park near Hamilton, the young couple will conduct their official ceremony, before travelling to the unusual reception venue nearby Motherwell that is the place where Melissa has worked for six years.
Kate Walker the franchise owner was approached by them after their wedding plans were cancelled and now they are all settled to celebrate their wedding reception at the Franchise Saturday.
Melissa is originally from Wishaw but lives in Bellshill along with her fiancée stated that she is very happy and grateful to Kate, for allowing her to celebrate a small party at the franchise.
She also added that it is not what she imagined but the celebration at the Motherwell franchise would be always remembered in their upcoming life.
She said that is the place where she worked for six years, allowed her to make many friends and memories for life, it would be a pleasure for her to spend the fabulously great evening with their loved ones.
She was so excited that she said that she cannot wait to become Mrs McKenna.
Shannon her fiancée added that he is looking for that special day since very long.
He added that is has been a hell of a journey to look up for the venues which were not available due to the virus and finally the Kate agreed to allow us to make arrangements for the reception at the franchise.
He was so excited that his fiancée’s father would see them getting married, and McDonald’s made it happened.
The franchise will be closed at 5 pm, but the doors will be open for the small number of guests.
Couple’s favourite meals will be served like Mozzarella dippers, Big Macs and ice cream sundaes by the staff.
Kate walker the franchise stated that it is his absolute honour to host such an event at McDonald’s. All the precautionary measures will be taken during the ceremony due to Covid-19.
