People of LAKEVILLE were waiting for the Amazon fulfillment center but now the wait is over and hopefully, it will launch in 2021. Not only will it help in minimizing delivery time but it will also create hundreds of jobs.
According to the statement of Amazon spokesperson Kirsten Wenker, it will be around 750,000 square feet and It will create hundreds of jobs. It will be operated from Interstate South Logistics Park Third Addition, near 217th Street West.
This center will help employees pick, pack, and ship larger customer items such as a mattress, exercise equipment, and TV, etc. Wenker said. “We are excited to join the Lakeville community and bring hundreds of full-time jobs. We provide a great place to work with highly competitive pay, benefits from day one, and training programs for in-demand jobs.”
In Minnesota, this will be the second Amazon fulfillment center. The first one is located in Shakopee. The site was approved by Lakeville City Council on 19 Oct. The center will start its facility in August 2021.
