Save Mart to pilot guest chef program at the flagship store


Chef John Surla will Host “The Tipping Point” restaurant at Western Grocers.


Last week Save Mart has planned to test for a guest Chef Program in order to support the restaurants who are badly affected by the Pandemic. 

According to Save Mart John Surla, a well-known chef and owner of the Asian Fusion restaurant in Modesto, California will lead inside the Flagship Supermarket in Modesto for serving the Brunch menu.

The Menu Includes; French Toast, Eggs Benedict, and Steak. The Entrée will include Country style Potatoes and fresh fruit.

Vice President of Retail Operations, Hal Levitt stated; “Our intent with this pilot program is consistent with our evergreen focus on the local communities we serve, and we’ve extended that approach to neighborhood restaurants impacted by the pandemic. We developed a program to assist local chefs and their restaurants; at the same time, our guests can enjoy some of their favorite dishes, discover new ones, and share in helping our local restaurants.”

Yet More chef Programs are planned in the future.

John Surla stated; “This Save Mart pilot program means the world to my staff and me and we can’t thank Save Mart enough, it will help us financially, keep our staff employed, and keep us busy while we get to share our culinary creations and flavors with more people.”

The flagship store was opened in Modesto in October 2019, At the opening company has also launched its first Fast-casual restaurant concept named “The Tipping Point”. The in-store restaurant includes a mark entrée of tri-tip grilled steak served in a wet or dry sandwich, torta, taco, or plate of mixed greens, just as an entirety. The menu likewise incorporates road corn and opposite side dishes, high-quality churros with chocolate and caramel plunging sauces, pop, water, and scope of nearby lagers and wines on tap. There’s seating for 63 individuals, including 22 indoor and 41 open-air seats.
