A couple had to cancel their wedding plan due to Covid-19 tied their knot at Mcdonalds and had the meals from the menu at their wedding reception by collecting lifetime memories.
Melissa Russell, 27, and Shannon Mckenna, 26 had been engaged from 6 years didn’t plan to get married in all those years but know at the pandemic days they decided to get married. Initially, they planned to get married at a marque in their garden but due to Coronavirus restrictions they were not been able to make the arrangements for their wedding, they also tried to make the arrangements in the hotel but their booking was canceled a week before their wedding.
Mellissa spoke to her boss Kate walker, where she worked for 6 years, she spoke to her about the difficulties she was having to find out a location for their wedding, and Melissa was astonished when her Kate told her to use the Mcdonalds franchise as a location for her dream reception in the restaurant in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.
The reason why Mellissa wanted to get married as quickly as possible was due to her sick father, he wasn’t feeling well and Mellissa wanted him to attend her wedding. The wedding reception had 18 guests and they were served three-course meals with the option to get Mozzarella Dippers or Chicken selects for starters and ice cream sundaes were also served. The food was greatly served the bride said that I was the best party she could ever imagine.
Mellissa, who wore a white Grecian style wedding gown, said that Kate is a wonderful lady, she did the thing which was not asked of her and she did all the decorations and did the stuff which was not imagined by her.
She also added that the three meals were served fabulously and which made the guests have a wonderful experience of her wedding reception. She added that her friends treated her like a princess on her wedding day.
Shannon, Mellissa’s husband who worked as a dog groomer was very much excited, he said that the wedding experience was so different and exciting they as a couple is going to remember it throughout their lives. That despite the pandemic, to comfort her ailing father they decided to make their wedding plans in Mcdonalds which turned out to be the best wedding. The couple was very excited about their wedding.
