According to the recent reports by the customers who have been facing traffic at the Kroger entrance. In this regard, a Macon woman says the flow of traffic to Kroger’s parking lot on Forsyth Road is driving her crazy! Yup you heard it right!
Quite recently, this customer Joan Garcia’s daily routine often includes getting coffee from her Starbucks neighborhood. She says the driving line at Forsyth Road makes it difficult and often backs up on the main road.
Furthermore, she said that “I got stuck on the right turn with people standing in the way trying to get in. If you’re coming from downtown Macon, you won’t be able to get in at all. You have to change your plan and try to get in at the other entrance to the Kroger Mall.” She has lived nearby in the Wesleyan Woods neighborhood for more than 30 years and says that many of her neighbors share the same concerns. “We had hoped that the engineers could place a traffic light at least to give the situation a little bit of edge,” she said.

While, back in 2019, the Macon Bibb Planning and Zoning Board approved plans for a traffic light at the Kroger Entrance. Both the Bibb County Department of Engineering and the Georgia Department of Transportation say Kroger is taking over the stopover project and will use a contracting company to install it. We are so happy that they are talking about a stop sign, but the time it takes can be a hindrance in itself, so we’ll wait and see what they decide,” Garcia said. 13WMAZ contacted the Kroger media team and Macon-Bibb’s Planning and Division Board for an update. They did not respond by the deadline. Now, what are your thoughts on it? Have you experience the traffic as well? Let us know in the comment section below!
